Davido reveals his family owns power plants in Nigeria, blasted for over-sharing

Afrobeat superstar Davido Adeleke is labeled as talkative after disclosing his family’s ownership of four power plants in Nigeria that provide electricity to millions of Nigerians.

During a recent interview on the American podcast “Business Untitled,” the singer unveiled his family’s extensive business investments in Nigeria, highlighting that his primary focus remains on music.

According to the singer, one of his family’s businesses is power generation in Nigeria, from which the bulk of their wealth is derived.

Davido also added his plans for his wife, Chioma Adeleke whom he intends to open a state-of-the-art culinary kitchen.

In his words;

“We’re trying to do that because Nigeria is big on crypto, part from that me and my family, we have like four power plants worth a lot of money and we distribute energy to a lot of Nigerians. My wife too, I’m trying to start a restaurant for her. For me, my main focus is music.”

The singer’s revelation as since sparked mixed reactions from social media users who argued that he overshares private information too much.

Tacha: “How does it feel like dating a South African? I mean, for we, Nigerian girls that are already getting tired of Nigerian boys because we know what they do to us. What’s the treatment like dating a South African? I’m looking for South Africans now.”

Yvonne said: “I don’t see the country with him [Juicy Jay] because he is just different. He makes it easy. The fact that he tries to learn Nigerian lingo. He also tries Nigerian delicacies.

“He is very open-minded. He makes it [dating] so easy. He is very caring. He takes his time. People don’t take their time to know me but he really took his time to know me. And he loves me so much, I know that.”

Fireboy recounts tearful moment fans failed to recognize him on stage

Fireboy DML, the renowned singer, reminisces about a moment that brought him to tears during his early days as an aspiring artist when fans failed to recognize him at a show.

In an interview with Billboard News, Fireboy underscored the reality that every budding musician encounters hurdles before making a mark in the music industry.

Sharing his worst experience as a newbie in the industry, the singer reflected on being invincible at a show where no one recognized him as a performer on stage.

According to Fireboy, he left the event in tears after realising how the audience, alongside the DJ, ignored him by playing music from other artists while the crowd danced to it.

“Every upcoming artiste always go through a lot of stuff. There was a show I went to perform and nobody even knew I was on stage or spared me a second glance. Everybody was just dancing.

“The DJ was just DJing. I felt invisible and I went back to the car with my friend crying. I told myself never again. I will never ask for something until I feel like I deserve it,” he stated.

His revelation sparked a wave of agreement from social media users who could relate to the same at their different stages in life.
