F.C MUZA Assistant Coach, Cosmas Mujika, has expressed happiness with his team’s performance in their 1-0 victory against Trident over the weekend to maintain their stay in the top four of the Super League with 40 points after 24 games.

Mujika has described the win to Byta FM Sports as a morale booster, stating that the Technical-bench is happy with the performance of the team following resumption of the league after the mid-season break.

He However, says more work will go into ensuring that the team takes their chances at goal.

And in the FAZ Division Two Southern Province Zone B league, run away leaders, TP Ezaloch have cemented their seven points difference at the summit of the table league after beating Terranova in a Week 24 fixture played over the weekend.

Elsewhere, second placed Paprika Hotspurs were held to scoreless draw by Upper Kaleya while Lima Stars beat Delta 2-0.

Seed United labored to a 3-2 victory over Nanga United, with Gwembe United stunning Red Lions 2-0, while Penstock and Chikankata Diggers settled for a scoreless draw.

In other results, Global Tac thrashed Monze United 3-1, Riverdale were 1-0 winners over Chikankata Stars, while Mazabuka United beat Maggobo 1-0.

BARTS FC STILL TOPPING LEAGUE

CHOMA Based outfit, Barts F.C, have extended their lead at the top of the FAZ Division 1 Southern Province League to 5 points.

This is despite the team failing to collect maximum points at home against Livingstone Pirates over the weekend, amassing 62 points after playing 28 games.

Meanwhile, Chikankata based outfit, Riverplate are second with 57 points.

In other weekend results, Play It Forward beat Batoka United, with Maramba Stars stunning Zesco Mazabuka 2-0.

Young MUZA beat bottom placed Chikuni Coops 2-0, while Simoonga United and Mukuni Royal settled for a scoreless draw.

Blue Arrows thrashed Macha United 5-2, with Sinazonngwe United beating Kascol Rangers 1-0, while Young Pirates and Kalomo Jetters battled to a scoreless draw.
