Nkiru Sylvanus was born on April 21, 1982 in Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area of Abia State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. She is currently 41 years old. She hails from Osisioma, Abia State.
Nkiru Sylvanus attended her primary and secondary school education at Ohabiam Primary and Secondary School in Aba, Abia State and obtained both her First School Leaving School Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.
After completing her secondary school education, Nkiru Sylvanus proceeded to Enugu State University of Science and Technology in Enugu, Nigeria and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication.
Her journey as an actress began in secondary school where she was actively involved in stage play and drama in her school and church in Aba.
In 1999, at age 17, Nkiru Sylvanus joined the Nigerian movie industry and started attending movie auditions and acting as minor character in movies.
In 2000, she earn her spot in stardom after starring in the Nollywood tragic movie titled “A Cry for Help”. In the movie, she played the role of an orphan who’s been maltreated by her foster parents after the death of her biological parents.
In 2003, she gained more popularity after starring in a movie titled “Egg of Life”, a movie she starred alongside with Pete Edochie, Ebele Okaro, Clarion Chukwura, Funke Akindele, Georgina Onuoha.
Nkiru Sylvanus is often regarded as the cry-cry of Nollywood because of her ability cry in movie and always features in sorrowful movies. She always plays the role of a servant, house help, maid and orphan. She has been in the movie industry for 2 decades.
She has acted alongside with Nigerian actors and actresses like Osita Iheme, Ngozi Ezeonu, Pete Edochie, Ebele Okaro, Clems Ohameze, amongst others.
She was the former special senior assistant to the Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha on Arts, Entertainment and Tourism.
Nkiru Sylvanus was always careful when chosen a movie scripts so as not to tarnish her image. She is one of those Nollywood actresses that are scandal free. She has never played any adult or nude scene in a movie.
She is known for A Cry for Help (2000), Six Problem Girls (2003), Egg of Life (2003), New Jerusalem (2008) and Ebere’s Ordeal (2020).
On January 12, 2023, Nkiru Sylvanus got married to her heartthrob, Mr. Riches Sammy, a Japan-based actor and business mogul. They had their traditional wedding in her home town in Osisioma, Abia State and their white/church wedding in Enugu state on January 15, 2023.

A medical doctor, identified on Twitter as Dr Pharouk, has created a stir online with his advice to women using singer Kizz Daniel and his wife as case studies.
In a lengthy Twitter post, he shared a story Kizz Daniel made in the past while talking about his wife, who he revealed believed in him when he started his music career. The singer disclosed that his wife would bring food for him when he spent hours in the studio and was mocked by her friends who claimed he couldn’t sing.
Kizz Daniel stated that his wife and his brother stood by him and were the only ones liking his posts, and she was the one who paid for his first song, which was N10,000.
Using his story as a case study, Dr Pharouk stated that men are grateful people as there is nothing one would do for them that they will forget completely. He avowed that men will always be there for women who stood by them and respected them at their low moments.
He admonished ladies to show their struggling boyfriends.

Popular skit maker, Sabinus reminds Nigerians that it’s naira they shouldn’t spray as he begs them to spray perfume while recounting an unpleasant experience after hugging a fan.
The content creator took to social media to raise an alarm as he claimed that a lot of Nigerians are no longer spraying perfume.
He reminded them that what the government said was they shouldn’t spray naira notes, however, some have taken it upon themselves not to also spray perfume.
Sabinus recalled how a fan hugged him and the smell oozing from the armpit was too much for him to bear.
The comedian begged folks to get roll-on, and body spray to help reduce the bad smell from their body.
