Chess champion Tunde Onakoya has showcased his prowess in a Guinness World Record attempt, maintaining an unbeaten streak for an impressive 20 hours.
The founder of Chess in Slum Initiative Africa embarked on his record-breaking endeavor on Wednesday, April 17, and has emerged victorious against all challengers, including New York’s National Chess Master, Shawn Martinez.
Tunde Onakoya keeps his followers updated on X about the ongoing progress and expresses gratitude for the overwhelming support received.
Reportedly, the chess master has garnered over $26,060 (equivalent to over N30 million) in donations. His ongoing 58-hour chess marathon in Times Square, New York City, is being broadcast live via Tiltify.

Popular skit maker, Sabinus reminds Nigerians that it’s naira they shouldn’t spray as he begs them to spray perfume while recounting an unpleasant experience after hugging a fan.
The content creator took to social media to raise an alarm as he claimed that a lot of Nigerians are no longer spraying perfume.
He reminded them that what the government said was they shouldn’t spray naira notes, however, some have taken it upon themselves not to also spray perfume.
Sabinus recalled how a fan hugged him and the smell oozing from the armpit was too much for him to bear.

Passionate fans of Wizkid dig up old video, reveals reason why the singer threw a shade at music executive, Don Jazzy, recently.
The video which showed Don Jazzy in a podcast was shared by twitter user, @itzbasito.
Don Jazzy was speaking about the stage performance of Burna Boy, saying that he performed for over two hours without splashing water on anybody.
This statement elicited a burst of laughter from the fellow participants who were at the podcast.
Even though Don Jazzy confessed that some of his artists also do the same thing, many assume that it was a shade at Wizkid who is fond of pouring water on his fans while on stage.
While some netizens agree that this must have been the reason Wizkid disrespected the music legend, others strongly believe this is not enough justification and he was wrong for doing so.
