I was just looking confused because there was nothing I would say that would make them believe I wasn’t the one who reported them to Nepa

So, my compound people applied for prepaid meters because the bill Nepa was bringing to us was high.

Around February/March last year, the prepaid was delivered to us.

One day, they posted on our WhatsApp group that we would be having a meeting concerning the light and the prepaid.

We all gathered that night including our landlady.

They called for the meeting because they wanted all of us to agree on doing a bypass so that we wouldn’t be recharging much again.

Everyone was happy!

they concurred except me.

I told them they should count me out and that I would not be a party to such.

It wasn’t as if I didn’t like the idea oh I love the idea more than the person who suggested it but because my landlady was part of that gathering I had to wash off my hands from it the way Pontius Pilate did the last time.

My landlady started quarreling with me oh…

She said so I mean if they do bypass I won’t use it with them I will continue paying.

I said tor, if they do bypass na I will be using it but they should know I’m not in support of it hóhà!

It wasn’t a small thing that night even our landlady later sent me out.

I went inside my room I laughed because I succeeded in letting them know if anything went wrong they should face the consequences alone and nobody should involve me.

On a norm, I would have played along with them but since the landlady was there it was a God forbid something.

I’m just the only one who understands our landlady too well.

My landlady someone might just wake up one morning and get her angry the rest of the tenants in the compound will pay for the sins of that one person.

They succeeded in doing the bypass oh last year and everybody was enjoying it.

I won’t lie oh! I enjoyed it most just that things in my room started shocking.

Just this morning, ooh Nepa people with two police officers stormed our compound and they checked and they saw we did bypass.

All fingers were pointing at me that I reported them because I was just the only one who kicked against it the first day the issue of this bypass came up.

I was just looking confused because there was nothing I would say that would make them believe I wasn’t the one who reported them to Nepa.

All eyes were on me including my landlady’s eyes.

One Nepa man said: thank God for this landlady here who doesn’t support évîl and reported her tenants to us if not we wouldn’t have known what was going on.

Ewooo!! You needed to see how quiet everywhere became.

As I’m talking to you now our landlady is somewhere close to the nepa man who exposed her pushing him on the shoulder and shouting and asking him: Excuse me! Who did you say that reported the case to you people?

Even the nepa man and our landlady are both looking stûpîd right now. Hahaha!!!

I’m just looking at them from this corner I’m standing singing:
I’ve still got joy in chaos!

We sleep here today maka chi!!!

They have charged them (because î nó follow) 140k or they should face the law.

Tax collectors have started collecting money from people to settle nepa and police.

I’m here waiting for anyone who will ask me to bring my money let me just give the person ûppércût.

My name is Amaka Ember whom God just vindicated this morning.

I ruined my younger sister’s wedding. I’m not proud of it but it was necessary and i have no regrets

so, my immediate younger sister actually, got engaged months ago, & we were all preparing for her wedding which was to hold yesterday. I sponsored the wedding with a sum of 1.5 million naira. Her & her husband-to-be were so excited, continually thanking me every time time we met.

Despite the fact that my parents usually make mockery of me for not having a life partner at my late thirties, I was still happy for my sister & did my best to support her marriage.

The day of the wedding came; the congregation was already filled up in church as the Senior Pastor conducted the wedding. When he was almost through, he paused for a while, faced the large congregation and continue;

“Is there anyone here who has a reason why this union between these 2 shouldn’t hold?” the Senior Pastor asked, the church became silent for a while; the congregation kept looking at the back to see who would make a statement.

“The bride, is carrying my child!” a random man with a full beard said, as he stormed into the church; all the congregations stared at him with their mouths open &bin shock.

“He’s lying! I don’t know this man; I don’t know him!” my younger sister said, bursting into tears immediately. I felt really pity for her, watching her cry the way she did in total confusion

“How am I lying? Remember when we made love together?” The random man brought out some pictures, threw them towards the altar. “I will come back for my unborn child!” The man said, as he ran out of the church immediately.

The Pastor checked the pictures & found out that the pictures contained my sister’s nudes. My sister’s husband-to-be fainted immediately.

That was how my sister’s wedding got ruined. My sister cried bitterly, as I & most of her friends kept consoling her. I felt pity for her, but I had to do what i had to do to relieve myself from future mockery & pressure. I have no regrets. So many people really do not understand what it feels like for a younger sister to marry first, not everyone can handle such depression that comes after, i guess “

Never forget that while you were crying for that person, that person was smiling with another

While you couldn’t sleep, that person slept with another person.
While you were crying every night, that person was going to sleep peacefully.
While you were waiting for that message, that person was sending messages with someone else.
And I did all this without feeling guilt, or concern for you.
The truth is that sometimes an apology isn’t enough, not even an apology, or a sorry. Because many times people feel bad just because they’re discovered, not because they’ve hurt you or despised you.
When you truly love someone you’re loyal to them in front and behind their back.
Forgive if you can, but if you can’t forgive, don’t do it. There are actions that do not deserve to be forgiven nor should be forgiven, nor lies, nor contempt, nor disrespect, nor unfaithfulness, nor betrayal.
And if you have to cry do it, but then get up and move on. That’s the best and only revenge that doesn’t hurt anyone
