Mohbad’s Autopsy: Toxicology result ready, analysis begins
The toxicology test conducted to determine the cause of death for the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba a.k.a Mohbad, has been finalized.
According to reports from PUNCH Metro, the examination was carried out in the United States as confirmed by the State counsel Oluwaseun Akinde during a session at the coroner’s court in the Ikorodu area of the state in November 2023.
Akinde mentioned that the autopsy focusing on the external body of the deceased had been completed, while the toxicology test aimed to investigate internal factors.
Subsequently, an official from the Lagos State Government, requesting anonymity due to lack of authorization to discuss the matter, informed The PUNCH’s correspondent on Thursday that the test results had returned to Nigeria. Additionally, he mentioned that a copy had been forwarded to the police.
“The toxicology test is ready and given to the police. We projected 10 weeks from the outset but it came in before then. The laboratory that would have done the job was burnt down during #EndSARS protest.
“So the sample has to be taken abroad and now that it has been brought back, it is for the police to proceed with their investigation and charge people who needed to be charged to court and call on the government to prosecute, but as it is, I think the Lagos State government has done what it should do, the ball is now in their court,” the official disclosed.
A source within the Lagos State Police Command, seeking anonymity due to not being authorized to speak to the press, affirmed the result.
“The toxicology report is with us. It arrived on Monday but it is medical jargon for us. We don’t understand what it is. Even you will never understand what it is. So, it has been sent to the pathologists who carried out the autopsy to interpret it in layman’s terms. Once the interpretation is out, it will be announced through the office of the PPRO,” the source revealed.

Popular skit maker, Sabinus reminds Nigerians that it’s naira they shouldn’t spray as he begs them to spray perfume while recounting an unpleasant experience after hugging a fan.
The content creator took to social media to raise an alarm as he claimed that a lot of Nigerians are no longer spraying perfume.

Passionate fans of Wizkid dig up old video, reveals reason why the singer threw a shade at music executive, Don Jazzy, recently.
The video which showed Don Jazzy in a podcast was shared by twitter user, @itzbasito.
Don Jazzy was speaking about the stage performance of Burna Boy, saying that he performed for over two hours without splashing water on anybody.
This statement elicited a burst of laughter from the fellow participants who were at the podcast.
Even though Don Jazzy confessed that some of his artists also do the same thing, many assume that it was a shade at Wizkid who is fond of pouring water on his fans while on stage.
While some netizens agree that this must have been the reason Wizkid disrespected the music legend, others strongly believe this is not enough justification and he was wrong for doing so.
