The truth and the whole truth that I’d tell you is this; if your Support system is not strong please think and think again, it took me months to decide if i want to leave my family especially my Babies behind, another months to put structure in place. Don’t leave your spouse/kids behind and move abroad without a good structure and solid support. What has carried me and my children and still carrying us is first God and secondly our very very solid support system.
Because trust me, you won’t find it easy, you’d be mentally and emotionally exhausted, you’d miss home, I’ve been there and i don’t have a good story to tell even though i don’t know if I’m going to share my story at all. I’m a Mummy to the T, i can’t do without my children and vice versa. I miss my children so much, so much that i shy from speaking about how much i miss them so i don’t open up my wounds that is just healing, but the why is what keeps me going. I can’t come this far and turn back now and it’s only but a little more time like i always tell my Children
I recorded this video one evening when my husband called me to say Kiki won’t sleep and had taken one of my picture frame to bed with her, i called and she started crying, i bawled my eyes out after the call. But then again, it’s for the best…
And today, I’m grateful for the gift of good people in my life, my Family/Friends Home and Abroad, My Tribe, my community, my church family here in the UK (I love these people specially), My friends who open their door to me when i need to be around children, my colleagues, my Kids teachers and their Nannies, our Neighbors and everyone who has been helpful in one way or the other.
PS : I’m fine, i just thought to share to encourage someone who may be in this phase, we all need ourselves to pull through in this journey called life
