They will teach you in school that certain people discovered the source of some river and also discovered some lake in Africa

Meanwhile this is exactly how these men who said they discovered lake Victoria (Ukerewe), River Niger, Source of the Nile and etc were being transported by people living around and fishing in this rivers. They showed them the source of these Rivers and also showed them the lake.

Meanwhile all the Rivers in Europe are yet to be discovered.  Ask Google to list out some Rivers in Europe, take some out and ask who discovered them you will see none.

This is the type of education they give us in school that some people came from a far distance to discover our rivers and lake meanwhile we have been fishing in the same rivers for centuries and even have a name for these Rivers and lakes.

I actually, advised my husband not to pay my “Bride Price” I personally see no need for that, we have 4kids and we are happy

I’m 34 years old, met my husband at age 24, we have lived together for 10 years now. We have 4 kids. We are living happily.

Our children are in school, we are doing ok.We love each other,  so i actually see no need for.dowry payment, i prefer that he adds the money to his business so he can keep taking care of us rather than waste it on dowry.

He has promised to marry me this coming December and we are definitely doing a court wedding..

Just using this opportunity to advise young girls out there. As a reasonable lady, who truly loves her man, pls forget dowry my dear. You’re not a sheep or goat for sale.

If you truly love your man like i do, Trust me you would never allow him waste money all in the name of “Bride Price” Even in the Bible there’s nothing as such.

Our forefathers came up with this belief & tradition, pushed it down on us, it’s unfortunate that we have been following these belief & tradition without reasoning”

A guy placed a babe on a weekly wage, he rented and furnished an apartment for her and bought her iPhone

Despite his emotional and financial investment on her, she kept collecting preeks here and there until she left him.

He knew that she was possessed by agbomma spirit but he thought he could change her, he later found out that she is unfixable.

Let me address three fundamental mistakes that the guy made.

Firstly, he had no business putting the girl on a weekly wage. It was a dumb idea. No guy should put his girlfriend on a wage or salary. What service is she offering him that should make him to put her on a wage or salary?

Secondly, a guy should never rent a house or buy a phone for his girlfriend. Such gesture is dumb and reckless. It can send a wrong signal to the girl.

Thirdly, a man should never give his commitment to an agbomma and hope to change her when they are already in a relationship. It is a foolish decision. A man must not commit to a girl unless she has all the right qualities he needs in a woman. Giving your commitment to a bad vvoman and hoping to change her later is synonymous to putting her on a pedestal. You will regret it later.

I remember one time my mom made beans for us.  It was so small. She made it very soupy and while we were eating she went to s corner to use the beans soup to eat Eba,
I cried that day

While growing up my mom used to be a cleaner in the day and then she fries yam and potatoes in the night time, my dad was an okada rider not until be got a fatal accident that kept him on a sit.  It’s barely 2 years ago he started walking but it can’t be like before.  It was my mom catering for all of us, my dad is very brilliant but Nigeria happened to him, my mom on the other hand came from a not too well to do family.

I saw it as almost impossible to go to school, I mean uni.  Because I saw the struggles of my mom to make sure we went to secondary and primary school, we’re 7 in number.  They wanted 6 kids but the last one came double.

Now I’ve graduated and my immediate younger sister has also graduated,
One is in nursing school, one is a hair dresser still learning. Two are tailors still learning then the smaller ones are in school.

I’m a security guard in a Mall and the one who graduated with me is an Ankara vendor and make up artist.  We’re not to well to do yet because sometimes they’d call for food money and I won’t have but we’re far from where we used to be in 2000s

I pray in the future I get to make her happy
Happy Sunday
