“Prof. Jubril Aminu was once the VC of University of Maiduguri. During his tenure, there was an Aluta struggle and some students were rusticated.
Four of the rusticated students came to Gani Fawehinmi to challenge the action.
He fought the case to the Supreme Court and won.
The students went back to complete their studies.
Later, Gani was arrested over his anti-SAP conference and was flown to Maiduguri, then driven to Gashua. At the Lagos airport, not knowing where he was being taken to by the security men, Gani played a fast one – he told his captors that he wanted to use the toilet.
He got inside the toilet and quickly scribbled on a toilet paper – “To whoever uses this toilet, this is Gani Fawehinmi. I am being flown to an unknown destination by security men. Please, let the world know”. He placed it in a conspicuous place, flushed the toilet as if he just used it and came out.
When they got to Maiduguri, they had a brief stop over at the SSS office, where a lady officer offered Gani a cup of coffee.
Gani was hooked on coffee like drug. But this time, the will power of Gani came on. He told the lady officer -“so you people have got information that l can’t do without coffee. You think you can poison me? From, today, I stop taking coffee “. That was how he ended his addiction to coffee.
He was later moved to Gashua prison, in a most decrepit cell where he collapsed after some substances were sprayed in the cell.
He was rushed to the University of Maiduguri Teaching hospital. When he regained consciousness, he found a doctor examining him and he protested, asking the doctor not to touch him.
The doctor, not wanting the security men guarding him to hear, he whispered to Gani’s ear – “Chief, you are in safe hands. Can’t you recognise me? I am….., one of the medical students rusticated whom you fought for our reinstatement. I am now a doctor. So, relax. You are in safe hands”.
And that was how Gani’s life was saved – reaping from the go

I’m so excited! I just completed this building project for my stepbrother who lives abroad.
We share the same father but have different mothers. 26 years ago, my step brother lost his mom when he was just 4. Later, my dad married my mom, who was already pregnant for him.
Growing up, I saw my mom treat my stepbrother unfairly. She made him do chores & wouldn’t let me help. Sometimes, she wouldn’t give him food for days. I felt sorry for him, but I couldn’t do anything.
Despite my mom’s attempts to separate us, my stepbrother & I remained close. We shared a strong bond. After our dad passed away, my mom moved to another town with me. My stepbrother went to live with our grandma.
Due to financial difficulties. Grandma took my stepbrother to the community revern father in which he helped sponsored his education. And my Step-brother later got a scholarship to study & work abroad.
Years later, we reconnected on social media. And He asked me to build a house for him, & I worked hard to complete it. He sent money for the project, & I made sure to do my very best. It took months, but I finally finished the project two weeks ago & sent him pictures & videos
Then, he sent more money & asked me to furnish the house & buy a comfortable car for him because he’ll be coming into the country to spend Christmas holiday. I did as he asked. But then, something amazing happened.
I woke up this morning to a message from my brother. Saying that the house & car were not for him, but for me! He said it’s a Christmas gift from him to me & that i should enjoy with my family. I still can’t believe it. I’ve never owned a house or a car before. I’m overwhelmed with emotion, I don’t know how to thank him.
I’ve been crying & screaming with joy. My voice is gone. My stepbrother’s kindness has changed my life forever. I can’t believe I’m now a house & a car owner. Over night, I’m now a rich man.. oh my beloved brother. This is too much for me all in one day . How can i ever thank you enough. I’m speechless”

Burna Boy is going on a needless voyage with Speed Darlington. Whoever is advising Burna at this moment doesn’t understand the rudiments of brand marketing
I’ve come to understand in life that some people are like a fishbone tightly wedged in the throat. You can’t swallow them, and you can’t also find it easy to spit them out. The best you can do for yourself is to damn them completely. And Speed Darlington seems to be in this category.
Literally speaking, Speed Darlington did what musicians do. When artistes want to make musics, they look around and create controversies with bigger artistes to market their crafts.
You don’t go about arresting your fellow artistes because they dissed you. You respond to them through musics, and the fun of such responses keeps you on the radar of relevance.
Phyno did it when Hushpuppy called him a cheap guy who rocks fake wears. He responded Hushpuppy by jumping on Timaya’s “TELLI PERSON” where he dissed Hushpuppy and called him a baller with no known job.
In fact, Shatta Wale’s hit track – ON GOD, was inspired by the feud between him and Burna Boy. Burna Boy called him a puppy rapîst, in response, Shatta Wale dropped the all time best selling single – ON GOD, which blew his career up.
Burna Boy should come off that route he’s going and hit the studio if what Akpi said got him provoked. This is Aftrobeat territory, not hip-hop territory where artistes reply their fellow artistes with guns and bullets.
Peace

I donated my kidney to save my Husband when doctors confirmed both his kidneys were all damaged
The surgery was supposed to happen in Idia. Money wasn’t an issue but we had no help, not even in his family, everyone semed scared, no one willing to donate their kd-ny. Days were passing his situation getting worse.
I couldn’t stand watch something bad happen to my husband. I reached a point where I started thinking ; ‘what if both of us died here in India’ who then will care of our 4 kids! I thought this was the end of me Seeing my husband. At some point i even visualized myself as a widow, i couldn’t handle the imagination. so i decided to take the risk.
I never gave up on my decision but instead drew my strength in prayer. i did it for him & for the children. I did it for the love i have for my family and also to fulfill my wedding vows. Today we are here again as one big family
I thank God it all went successfully, please, help us thank God for saving us.
